Terms and Conditions

  • Payments must be made in £ sterling and include VAT @ 20%

  • We will take all care within our power to keep your payment details secure

  • We do not offer credit and we require full payment on collection or return of your vehicle

  • We accept cash (except £50 notes) or payment via our debit/credit card facility, which also accepts mobile payments, e.g. Apple pay, google pay

  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept cheques

 

 

  • Due to recent last minute cancellations, we have now decided to only order parts, on the day and once we have the vehicle at our workshop. Many parts are non-refundable, which leaves us out of pocket. This means your car may be with us slightly longer

  • We have limited parking at our unit and we cannot guarantee the safety of your vehicle overnight, so we would appreciate prompt collection of your vehicle once work is completed

Locking wheel nuts

In order for our technician to remove your wheels, and so carry out most of the services we offer, you will need to have the key to unlock the locking wheel nuts, if your car has them

If you don't have the key, we will be unable to carry out any work that requires removal of the wheels

Disclaimer

When you instruct Myhill's Mechanics to carry out any work on your vehicle, you enter into a contract with us

This may include a quote or estimate for the work and an estimate of how long the work should take to complete

Once agreed, we will aim to complete the work within the quoted price and time frame, however, despite our best efforts and meticulous practice, problems can arise and costs can increase

Intermittent faults can be very difficult to diagnose and components can break when being dismantled, no matter how much care is being taken

Delays can happen if parts are hard to obtain or if the repair turns out to be bigger than first thought 

Where possible we will contact you to explain this and agree a new contract, prior to continuing with the work

Brake pads & discs

Under inspection by a mechanic, whilst replacing brake pads only, we may advise you to have the brake discs replaced as well. Not doing so may cause detrimental effects to the new brake pads, if the discs are worn.

Detrimental effects include:

  • Pads will wear quicker

  • Brake discs can fracture

  • Brake pedal can be spongy and less efficient

  • Noise

Privacy

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), which came into force in May 2018, aims to protect the fundamental right to privacy and the protection of personal data of UK and EU citizens

  • Our website uses cookies, as almost all websites do, to help provide you with the best experience we can achieve. For more information, please click  

  • We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, phone numbers, registration number); payment details (including debit or credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile (including Facebook)

  • We do not store payment details, apart from last 4 numbers of a card used for payment. This is in case of the need for refund

  • Any other information, name, email or phone number, will not be kept, once an enquiry, transaction or order is completed

  • We never share personal data with any third parties

We have the right to charge a fee to respond to any letters or emails or provide any documentation requested by 3rd parties, such as solicitors, image agencies, government bodies. If you decide to make first contact, you or the company you represent, agree to these terms and conditions and accept the charges we see fit and invoice to your company
